About me

I’ve always loved flowers and as a child used to help out with the flowers in our small village church alongside my mother. I’ve subsequently been involved with the flowers at many friends’ weddings and parties…..and looking back I can’t quite believe I even did some of the flowers at our own wedding!

It was only after my two daughters had left home that I was able to turn my hobby into a new career and I re-trained formally to become an Events Florist.  Throughout 2017 and the early part of 2018 I completed a career course Diploma in Flower Design at The Covent Garden Academy of Flowers in Central London which enabled me to learn all aspects and styles of creative floral design.  Since then I have worked alongside a London based specialist wedding florist, initially to gain work experience but more latterly as part of their freelance team.

Today I am lucky to be able to work from home in the beautiful village of Ashwell in North Hertfordshire and I am at my happiest when planning and creating the florals for Weddings and Events in my rural studio…...usually with my loyal four-legged friend Hector by my side!

And last year I went back to my roots, so to speak, as together with two like-minded friends we took over the voluntary roles of running Ashwell village’s church flower team!
